About the Artist

I grew up in communist Romania, where my siblings and I listened to Radio Free Europe. (It was a bit like listening to PotterWatch, for you Harry Potter fans.) We were not supposed to tell anyone we were listening to that utterly forbidden program, but communism fell when I was in the fourth grade and our secret was never revealed.

The end of communism in Romania really inspired my Dad, a porcelain factory worker, to strive for a better life. His parents didn't put much value on schooling, so it was important to him for my siblings and I to go to school and focus on studying.

I went to school here with the intention of taking my graphic design skills back to Romania, but met my future husband while doing design coursework. I have been in the United States since 2000. My lovely daughter Audrey was born in 2007, and Parker graced us with his presence in 2010. It is fascinating experiencing and looking at life through their eyes, as they discover new things and learn more every day.

I never thought I was going to end up in the U.S.  I didn't dare to dream of doing graphic design for a living, and I used to be terrified of computers!

Luckily, life has a way of surprising us for the better.  It has been my great pleasure to serve photographers like you by creating products designed to complement your best images and delight your clients.
